Euratom

An area close to my heart as I wrote training materials for the Protection of Patients undergoing Medical Examination and Treatment Regulations (UK) - this became an EU law which then invalidated my training materials !

But its an area close to my heart having worked in Medical Physics and seeing the importance of radio-isotopes and the dedication of those working with them, often in dangerous circumstances eg if a spillage occurs.

EU responded to a shortage of the crucial Molybdenum-99 and its decay product Technitium 99 isotope in 2008- 2010:
